Someone, on a ScrewAttack page, pointed out that Base Goku (Post-fight with Ginyu), after recovery, reached the other side of Planet Namek in an instant (going by the back of the manga chapter book, for the locations, and the images, for the manga itself).

So, it's possible that, by the time Goku and Frieza fight each other, they're approaching light speed.

Plus, anime filler scenes have King Kai losing track of Goku and Frieza, whereas he was able to keep track of Saiyan Pods (which were likely moving at relativistic speeds).

Nah dawg its incorrect
The ship in the background is where Goku is and the place where they are standing is roughly where the whole Frieza fight took place (see the attachment)
Though I do agree thats when it happened because of the statement supported by feat of Goku escaping Frieza's telekinesis trap the second it exploded.

Manga-wise, not at all. Anime-wise, SSJ Goku VS Freeza if not treating it as an outlier. If treating it as one, then either BoG or the Baby Arc of GT.

Well it was calced that Whis is 9 billion times the speed of light in movement speed. One thing made clear in dragon ball is that movement speed<<<<<Combat speed. When do you guys think dragon ball reach combat light speed

Only Beerus would appear to have light speeds. Everything else is ridiculous lolcalcs. As I explained on F, the problem with calcs is that they don't match author's intent. With calcs you can do all sorts of stuff like make Spongebob appear to be a light speed character, while the author's intent was on no such thing.

Whis took 1 minite to travel thousands of galaxies in the universe. That is definetley above light speed

Whis used his staff. But yeah, Whis should be above lightspeed along with Beerus.

It took Beerus 3 minutes to get to thr same place. Also thats 9 billion x lightspeed. Someone like Buuhan should be at least a thousand times light speed if Beerus is so much

If only speed scaled linearly. Another common mistake from common calc users.

I am not saying its linear. I am just making a rough estimate.

It's still baseless, unfortunately. The speeds are arbitrarily linked to the PL as stages as the story needs them.

Combat speed is obviously billions of times faster than light by now. Master Roshi was Relavistic

It's never stated. IMO, it would have to be at least SSJ Goku on Namek and beyond, no earlier than that.

Goku post Kaio with a battle power around 8,000 flew down snakeway on average over 17x the speed of sound. Light speed would be thousands of times faster.

Obvious metaphor or not, Popo wouldn't have bothered stating the whole "quicker than lightning" thing if Roshi was already Relativistic. The moon feat is an obvious outlier.
